A bridge checking and management package for smaller Bridge Authorities who regularly receive Abnormal Load notifications from hauliers and plant operators, our new program *** ABLOADS Management *** is essentially our *** ABLOADS *** package without its mapping component. Whereas *** ABLOADS *** decides which bridges to check by selecting the route that the vehicle proposes to travel, *** ABLOADS Management *** relies on the established experience of the operator to select the bridges to check, and is structured to make even this process simpler with time.

Through most of its years of development, the parent program *** ABLOADS *** has been operated as a live system through which abnormal loads notified to Kent County Council are received, recorded and checked with increasing sophistication. It has now been in full and continuous service managing Kent's system since 1997 and is now being introduced in other Bridge Authorities and Highways Agency MAC Areas.
